Yellow Leaves
You wake up at 5am.
Drink a glass of ice water and take your vitamins, meditate, fast until noon. Eat a balanced protein and veggie lunch, meditate again, wow you’re super deep. Journal, yoga, hot tea, a ginger root for dinner. You are human perfection.
SO WHY THE F🤬CK ARE YOUR LEAVES TURNING YELLOW??
It’s chill(y). Fall is here, they are supposed to go yellow. The sun is setting faster and you’re not getting any younger. It’s the perfect time to trim the haters (aka dead leaves) out of your life and recalibrate yourself and your plants. I’m talking watering, nutrition and maybe rotate a plant or two.
Seasonally, leaves will be turning yellow so make sure to trim your plant babies back. Nobody wants to hang out with their dead homies.

It if you’re worried about other reasons your plant is frowning, here are some other reasons and symptoms:
☀️ Sunburn on your plant may appear to have brown spots not only on the tips but also in the center. You may want to move your plant child to a shadier spot, perhaps Portland, OR?
💦 Over watering will appear on your leaves with brown spots all over. The simplest rule of thumb is to stick your finger 2 inches into the soil. If it’s still moist, maybe give it a few more days and ensure the water is being drained properly. Plants need toilets too. 🚽
🔥 Under watering can look like leaf tips are turning crunchy and brown. This could be the forgetful parents or the parents on the go or the parents with a dry sense of humor (hehe).
Other reasons you can see brown; pests, root rot, or your constant obsession with the phrase “Live Laugh Love”.

Plant of the week: Euphorbia trigona 'Rubra' 'African Milk Tree' 🥛
Don’t throw out your creamer just yet. This milk is toxic to pets and humans 😱 But what you can get is some beautiful leaf variegation if you treat it right. This plant loves bright indirect sunlight and dried out soil between waterings.
If you want to buy one for yourself (to remind you of your toxic friends) check them out Plant Shop Chicago and they’ll ship one right to your door ✈️
